Tear Drop Trailers

Pictured right is our  Teardrop Trailer. We started it in Feb. of 2009. It is complete with on board television broadcast computer. We are scheduled to film rodeo's, logging shows and fishing shows Spring of 2010.

We mounted larger tires than those that came with the trailer package.

As With All cowboys, all they need is a bedroll and a chuck wagon. This teardrop doubles as a TV Studio and chuck wagon for  our Rodeo West Motion Picture film crew.

 Photo showing inside walls. 5/8 " 1/4" - 5/8" Laminated Glued and Counter Sunk Screwed ready for 1/8" Cedar Paneling over the interior top with 1/2" foam insulation and Poly Tarp.We were very pleased with the  cedar interior ceiling appearance. It is just beautiful and comfortable inside.

Again showing the laminated 5/8" - 1/4" - 5/8" glude & counerter sunk bass plated screws. Makes for very strong side walls and construction.

There is 2" foam insulation on the floor for cold weather with a 12 volt electric blanket planed for cold weather.

Once again showing the water storage using  7  1 gal. milk jugs with the 1 gal. 1/2 removable container (purchased at Wal mart ) above the stainless steel sink makes a total of 8 & 1/2 gallons. Very convenient. A propane stove for cooking fits just right of the stainless steel sink. Notice we used exterior patched plywood for a strong & rugged appearance. This trailer is designed to spend its time on ranch and rugged mountain terrain country.

 SPECIAL NOTE - Although folks have asked me to build them a teardrop. I did not build this teardrop to go into business making them. I custom built this teardrop camper specifically for RUGGED USE and my own needs. Because of my line of expertise and lifestyle I have spent most of my adult life living and camping out of home built and MFG travel trailers in mountain and high desert terrain of Oregon.  I wished I had paid more attention to the teardrop design years ago.   I built this teardrop out of local hardware and lumber stores.  If you are a home builder I hope these photos may be of help to you.
